Submitting Your Manuscript
The Journal of Intellectual Property Law invites the submission of unsolicited articles,
comments, and reviews from scholars, judges, researchers, and practicing
attorneys discussing issues relevant to intellectual property law. In
particular, articles may address any of the following topics: patent law,
trademark, copyright, trade secrets, Internet law, and entertainment and sports
law. In an effort to highlight as many of our own students as possible, the Journal does not regularly publish articles submitted by
students of other law schools.
Publication Frequency
The Journal publishes two print editions annually. The Journal's fall publication process begins in mid-August, and
the spring publication process begins in early January. Although the Journal accepts submissions throughout the year, the Journal's publication offers usually are made at the
beginning of each semester's publication process. The Journal encourages authors to keep this in mind when
submitting articles for publication in a particular edition. Finally,
citations in manuscripts should follow The Bluebook: A
Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005).
